Decent brightness, 61% sRGB, weak speakers
This portable monitor has a fairly decent display. It has an IPS screen that does up to 270 nits brightness and 61% sRGB color gamut. No, it's not very color accurate and you certainly don't want to be editing photos on this. It also won't be as vibrant as a 95%+ SRGB screen. However for everyday use, it's more than good enough and fairs better than the sub 60% screens I've seen on Acer laptops. The screen also supports HDR but with such a low peak brightness, it's not very effective and I can see why it is defaulted to off.Out of the box, the monitor pushes a bit too much green. Bumping the green slider under color temp menu down from 50 to 45 fixes the white balance issue. I did not have to touch the red nor blue sliders. Of course, your unit may behave differently from mine due to panel variance.The monitor also has built in speakers but the volume is very low even when cranked to 100%. It's definitely worse on some content than others (e.g. movies sound weaker than TV shows). There isn't any distortion to the audio, and it is just about usable in a very quiet room. That said, I'd still take the laptop's built-in speakers any day of the week.General build quality is very good. The whole backing, sides and kickstand appear to be aluminum/metal. The buttons and ports are all on the left side. It's got four buttons to manage the on screen display, and it's got 1 mini-HDMI port and 2x USB-C ports. It's also bundled with 3 cables: mini-HDMI to HDMI, USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A.The unit can be connected in a variety of ways. It can be connected and powered via USB-C only. If connected by HDMI, it will need external power using a USB-C to USB-A cord and a 5V/3A power source (not included). If connected via USB-C to a smartphone (or any USB-C port that cannot provide sufficient power), it will also need to be separately powered via the USB-C to USB-A cable.Overall, the Arpoza A1 is well constructed and has good brightness for a portable monitor. I like the versatility of being able to connect to various devices. That said, color accuracy is average and the speakers are very weak. Those are the only reasons for a point deduction.

The instruction manual is very useful and explained how to use the monitor properly. In this box, you get the usb power cable, hdmi and usb-c cable. The monitor only weights 1.6 lbs and less than 1/4” thickness. The color are bright and vibrant and you can adjust the video properties via an online menu prompts.
This is a great gaming monitor since it is so small and lighweight. I love the mini short factor which makes it extremely portable. Although it comes with your standard video and power cables, it doesn’t include a power brick, you will need to either plug it into your laptop, computer or provide your own external brick.
The monitor is a great value for your money. It has a lot of features that the more extensive monitors have, but won’t break your bank. The customer service team is extremely responsive to your questions and issues.
It is also great for work. I love the built in kickstand, which is very stable, but I wished it had two legs versus the single leg. It is okay and does its’ job.
I just got this monitor a few days ago, so I’m going to play around with it for a few more weeks and update this review if I find anything negative about it.
The price is great and slightly cheaper than other monitors with the same features.
