This little camera has a lot of features for a budget device, but at the end of the day it’s just not where I wanted it to be. The build quality seems good, nice rubberized exterior, rubber covered USB port, sealed buttons. The screen leaves a lot to be desired but chances are you won’t be reviewing videos and photos on the device itself. I like that it has a positioning laser, which is actually aimed pretty close to the center of the frame, and it has a button to toggle between white LED light (not very bright) and Infrared/Night vision for low light conditions. Photo quality is fine, definitely not on par with current day smartphones. The videos unfortunately are extremely shaky. Even using the higher framerate settings, every video I’ve taken has motion blur and is too shaky to make out details if the wearer is moving at all. The USB connection is super dated as well, but this also might make it more secure, as no one else would have a mini USB cable on hand to retrieve the files. To retrieve files, you don’t have to install any software, you enter a passcode on the device itself to unlock it, and then it pops up as a removable drive on your PC. If the actual video quality were improved, or included some stabilization, it would be a fantastic device for the price.
