I learned a lesson about ordering a tv on Amazon. If you have any issues you have to pay your own shipping to return it. In my case shipping a 55inch tv will cost me $130. Amazon will reimburse me for $3.99.
The Hisense tv looks nice, but upon first watching it, we noticed a cluster of dead pixels in the middle right of the tv. It looks like a puck when trying to watch hockey playoffs. And is very distracting.
I tried to go through Hisense and this is their email back to me.
“ Thank you for contacting Hisense Customer Support.
We have received the picture of the issue however it would not be considered an issue that would require warranty repair. Our panels contain around 3 million thin film transistors, which provide exceptionally sharp picture quality. Occasionally, a few non-active pixels may appear on the screen as a fixed black, blue, green, or red point. These non-active pixels do not adversely affect the performance of your TV, and are NOT considered defects. ”
That is some very low standards. Shocking really. I guess I’m stuck with this sub-par defective (in my option) tv that I paid full price for. I’m still in shock.
Buyer beware folks.
