5.0 out of 5 starsMy first new laptop in 10 years
Reviewed in Canada on September 25, 2022
After using my previous laptop for 10 years, I finally had the opportunity to upgrade to something new and much more modern, I am a casual user, but quite tech savvy at the same time and since I am in the Samsung ecosystem already, I decided to try the Galaxy Book2 series for my new laptop/tablet replacement and specifically the Galaxy Book2 360 13.3" model since it has the largest variety of ports, 2-in-1 design, higher end hardware, and still remains very compact and portable enough to be a tablet replacement as well, a best of both worlds machine.
The Super AMOLED screen is amazing, just like it is on their flagship smartphones and tablets, it is the stand out feature of this laptop in my opinion. It completely blows away my 10 year old Acer's IPS LCD 1080p panel and of course being AMOLED and HDR ready, it's very vibrant, black is truly black, and all while being more energy efficient. I like the 2-in-1 capability as I am not a big tablet user, but it is nice to have the functionality of a tablet when necessary or the need arises for a tablet style device, for me that's mainly for media consumption purposes.
Overall, this laptop has exceeded my expectations especially after coming from a 10 year old Acer laptop, which back in it's day was a higher end device itself. The Samsung's build quality is superb, the keyboard is great and of course backlit, the display is amazing and the speed is phenomenal. Going from a 3rd Gen Intel i5 chip and 8GB of RAM to the 12th Gen i7 and 16GB of DDR4x RAM is a massive upgrade, and while I know there are much more powerful and capable machines out there today, this laptop is no slouch and I hope it will last me for another decade just like my Acer did.
Well worth the upgrade. I find excuses now to use it over my phone. Overall an awesome device for the right user, and yes, the marketing is wrong on Amazon's listing for this, there is no S Pen included. Samsung Canada's website is correct, Amazon is not.
