1.0 out of 5 starsBroke after 4 months, customer service is purposely terrible
Reviewed in Canada on August 29, 2022
It did its job alright, but it broke after just 4 months. At first it kept disconnecting and I had to troubleshoot from my computer to fix the issue. Next I had to manually remove and re-insert it to fix the issue. Then it escalated to the point where I had to re-insert it multiple times for my computer to pick up a wifi signal, only for this problem to repeat again later on. Finally it got to the point where it just broke completely - no amount of troubleshooting or re-plugging worked and my computer was without wifi.
I was willing to hold off on a review and talk to customer service because of their full warranty or whatever, but their customer service is PURPOSELY TERRIBLE to dissuade you from getting a replacement. First they ask me a bunch of questions and request completely irrelevant information such as taking a picture of my router serial number/modem etc etc etc. Then they have me confirm that it's not a driver issue etc etc etc when I already told them in the beginning it's not that. The process was long and drawn out, and at the end they asked me to ship it back (did not even provide a return label or anything) so they could "assess" it, and if it was broken, send a replacement. And keep in mind during this lengthy process, I was supposed to be without wifi.
TP link is terrible, both in quality and customer service.
