Top critical review
2.0 out of 5 starsIt's good but not great

My third dash cam. They're both dead so I had to buy a new one but had them for at least 6 years.
After doing a lot of research for 2 weeks on the web and youtube, I finally decided to buy the Pelsee P3 dash cam. I wanted the Pelsee P2 Trio originally but more expensive. I've had this for 4 days now.
Here's the Pros and Cons
Pros:
1. The dash cam is made of plastic but well built.
2. it's easy to set up. The menu settings are well organized
3. Wiring it around my SUV didn't take me that long. Nice long cable lengths.
4. Good 4k and 1080p videos
5. Built in GPS
6. Does not use suction cup mounts (I hate them)
7. Great 170 front wide angle and 150 rear wide angle
Now the Cons:
1. No settings for screen brightness. This is the first thing I noticed. The screen is dim when driving during the day. I can barely see what's going on the dash cam. On a cloudy or not so sunny day, the screen brightness is fine.
2. 4k videos are over sharpened.
3. No setting to turn off the display (to keep the unit cool)
4. The Smart Driving Assistant is a gimmick. Don't use it.
5. Screen artifacts on dark parts of the video (I kind of expected it)
6. No image stabilization (Too much to ask I guess)
7. The app is very basic. Dash cam settings should be mirrored in the app. It's easier to change settings on the phone.
8. The voice control only works sometimes.
That's it so far. Maybe on the next update, some of these will be fixed?
Is this a keeper? I don't know yet. I will keep on testing this dash cam before the 30 day return window expires.
