(Review of the 34" 3440x1440p Ultrawide Model)
For watching videos and productivity tasks, this monitor is sufficient. The 1000R curve is more curved than most other ultrawides on the market, providing a more immersive experience and potentially less neck strain. The price ($399CAD) is also very good for a 34" ultrawide with HDR support.
However, despite it being marketed as a "gaming" monitor, this VA panel is actually awful for it. There is noticeable ghosting present in most fast-paced games, even with the panel set to 165Hz. This issue is even more pronounced when HDR is enabled. Fast paced actions usually result in ghosting smears on the screen. For gamers with lower-end setups or those who prefer slower-paced games (<60FPS), the performance is acceptable. But for those who like to play faster-paced FPS shooters, the smearing can often cost you a firefight if your opponent is moving fast.
TL;DR: Buy it only for productivity/passive entertainment. Don't buy it for gaming.
