3.0 out of 5 starsDecent cheap monitor with a few caveats

Not a bad monitor - just not so much for workstation office use.
Pros:
The price. The reason you're probably considering this monitor is the appealing price point. It is one of the better priced LCD screens out there.
75hz refresh rate - slightly better than the standard 60hz. Personally I haven't noticed the difference.
Cons:
No display port - when I initially did a search on Amazon I requested to sort out by monitors having a DispalyPort connection. This monitor was included. While not necessarily the monitor's fault, not having this type of port limits which workstations I can connect it to without additional adapters.
Now the big irritation - the built in power adapter. This monitors comes with it's own proprietary ac adapter. One that is quite short. This means that you cant simply use the standard PC/monitor cables which are already there. If the monitor moves, so must the adapter, otherwise it becomes useless if lost. Another disadvantage is the size of said adapter. It's quite large and most often consumes 2 slots on your power bar or wall AC socket.
Overall you get what you pay for. It's a decent and bright HDMI/VGA monitor with quite an appealing price point. If you can live with the proprietary AC adapter and don't need additional connection ports, there are worse choices out there. 3 Stars overall.
