Really fills out a room. Tones are rich and full. The Dolby Atmos really since through watching a movie or gaming. You really can hear sounds going over your head and to the left and right of you. Livingroom gaming is just the bomb and an advantage in some types of games.
The app really is needed. Really helps give you the sound your looking for. For apartment living bass set to 0 is a must. So if you are looking for a punch, this does have room to give you that. Really does not need the subwoofer.
Setup was really easy once I installed the right app. "Bose Music" took less time to figure out and set my preferences, then it did to update.
Getting it setup with my Google Home network was a brease. I added the soundbar to speaker groups with my nets audio speakers. Works like a charm. The soundbars richness really adds to the google nets.
Used this also with the Dolby Atmos app on Xbox. The app picked up the soundbar in a flash. Really is awesome for gaming.
Update: I switched from Google Assistants to Amazon Alexia. This Smart Speaker is not Alexia friendly. You cant add it to speaker groups. So its just a stand alone speaker, unless you buy a Echo Dot and mute the dots mic and Bluetooth connect it as a slave to the Bose. Then you can add it too a group. It does a great job of auto switching to Bluetooth channel when you play music to a group and also auto switching back to TV Media when you play a show or movie. So it seems all seamless when you do this rout.
Amazon needs to be more friendly with companies making Alexia compatible devices. I am considering returning the 3 Echo I bought and switching back to Google. As for the Bose 600, I have not recreated this at all. Sound bar on its own, its great for apartment living. If you have a home, buy the the speakers that pair with this bad boy and you will be even happier.
