I have a Hyundai Elantra Touring 2009 and I have been using the original standard stereo/sound system and its aux port to play music from my phone. Recently, the aux port broke and the stereo doesn't have any Bluetooth features so I came here to look for something that can play music from my phone to my car.
Out of the box, I felt impressed with this product. The transmitter is compact and has a nice heavy feel. It's built of all metal with a clean screen and simple buttons. It's pretty much plug and play and really easy to use. Its compact shape is minimalistic and doesn't look messy or take up a bunch of space. It connects to my phone with ease and works like a charm. When you start the car, it auto connects to your phone, but doesn't start playing music until you open your phone and press play. While parked or driving, I haven't heard any kind of static buzzing in the background. I was worried about static noise because my boyfriend has a different Bluetooth transmitter for his vehicle and you hear a slight buzzing on his system. *EDIT: if you plug your phone into the transmitter to charge, there is some static buzzing noise. The buzzing stops when your phone is not plugged in.
My only complaint is that the sound is slightly not as good as when I was using the aux cable. I don't know much about sound so it's hard to describe, but it sounds just a bit flat, or hollow. There's just less *body* to the music somehow. I've tried adjusting my sound settings on the stereo and increasing the bass etc, and while overall it does really sound reasonably good and clean, it's just a wee bit different.
Overall I'm happy with it. If anything changes or it breaks, etc I will be updating my review.
