2.0 out of 5 starsbadly refurbished unit: i had to reset it to factory defaults before being able to configure and use

the router arrived stuck in a weird state and broadcasting a non-default WiFi SID. i had to reset it to factory defaults before i could do anything with it. this is unacceptable for such an expensive top-of-the-line model that was sold as new.
after banging my head against the wall for a while, i was able to make it work with a 3Gbps fiber connection. i must admit that the WiFi 6E speed is impressive. i have not yet enabled WiFi 7; probably academic at this point since i don't have any compatible hardware.
the web console is usable although it does hide a lot of the advanced WiFi and Ethernet settings. You cannot configure the LED panel from the web console (why TP-Link, why?). i also don't like the fact that i need a tp-link id to access some of the security features. in general, this habit of giving the vendor a backdoor into my equipment strikes me as a very bad idea.
tech support is non-existent for this model. the tp-link support site has a few blurbs and faqs but there is not much help there.
bottom-line: only buy this if you
a) like to live on the edge,
b) you are comfortable dealing with networking equipment without customer support,
c) you have a use case for it --lots of clients, a need for speed, 6E/7 compatible hardware,
d) --obviously-- you can swallow the price
