1.0 out of 5 starsLack Of Detailed Instructions

The camera is good once you spend time figuring it out by ear. The included instructions (or lack thereof) in the box is disappointing. It gives you basic setup but no detailed instal or product function information.
For example; there’s no physical emergency record button on the actual unit. There is a triangle icon on the touchscreen, but there’s a caveat to that:
1. If there’s something your camera captures and you want to prevent it from being overwritten or deleted, you need to wake the screen by touching it, then touch the emergency record icon, whilst driving if it’s urgent, which is inconvenient.
2. If you use the dash cam via WiFi, the emergency record icon on the screen will become disabled. On WiFi you MUST use the app on your phone to control the dash cam. All touchscreen options will be blocked from the dash cam touchscreen and it will display “Control in App”.
3. Controlling via WiFi/App can be very inconvenient for those of us with wireless Apple CarPlay - as you must disconnect from CarPlay to connect to the dash cam app to WiFi.
That leaves you with 2 options. Either don’t use WiFi so you can keep wireless CarPlay, but then you have to wake the touchscreen to hit the emergency record button.
Or, use WiFi which disables the dash cam touchscreen and forces all actions to the app on your phone.
It can be very confusing. I had to learn all this the hard way, none of it was in the instruction manual. Hopefully this article helps others with any confusion or frustrations.
