Just wanted to give a short update: although it comes with a known microSD card (Lexar), but it has failed on me just over a month usage. It's giving me error every time it turns on. So the dashcam is pretty useless until I get a new replacement card. And hopefully it's just the card and not the dashcam itself. I will update if there's another issue.
Only got this for a couple of days, so here are my initial findings. Video quality is pretty good especially the rear cam, compared to other "Van" brand I've tried. I like the built in GPS with the suction cup.
The app is decent. It communicates with the dash cam pretty quickly. One thing I do need to mention is that I'm not sure if the WiFi connection is slow or just the video file (3 minute loop setting) is too big, but it is almost useless trying to watch the video through the app (Android). It's best to just view the footage from the dash cam itself or take the memory card out and watch it on a computer.
One surprising Easter egg find, the free memory card that it comes with was a Lexar brand. At least it's a known brand, so there is a little bit of hope compared to an unknown generic memory card it could have come with.
The cables that it comes with was installed into a midsize sedan. For me, the rear cam cable had just enough length to tuck it into hidden places. Front power cable, that was a little short if I were to plug the power into the arm rest compartment. Therefore, I had to plug it into the socket out in the open making it less tidy. If you were to install this on a bigger vehicle, I'd say you may run into some trouble for cable length.
Overall, I'm very surprised with the quality of this dash cam. Only time will tell if this will last, seeing that some reviews says it died in a couple of months of usage. Will report back should I experience that.
Update: it's been nearly 6 months since I have owned this dashcam, it's still running fine. I did buy a 2nd exact same model and it looks like they have updated some of the components in the box. The rear cable now reaches my SUV, front to back. It also comes with 2 static clings for the cameras, although the front suction cup doesn't need one as it is easily removable but the rear is great to have if you decide to remove it in future. What I have experienced with my first purchase was the front dashcam fell off a couple of times during really hot days. I am guessing the rubber on the suction cup got too soft and couldn't hold itself together and fell off.
