3.0 out of 5 starsSolid for the price but leaves a lot to desire

Overall, these are pretty good value for the price. The sound quality is surprisingly good, and you can adjust the EQ to your preference using their companion app.
That being said, there’s a few aspects of these headphones that led me to return them:
1. They are really uncomfortable. I owned Beats Solo Pros before these, so I’m used to on-ear headphones, but these are definitely uncomfortable if you wear them for long periods of time.
2. The controls are annoying. All the controls are in the form of small buttons on the right ear, and it is virtually impossible to tell what button you are pushing since they’re so small. It’s often easier to just pause your music using your phone.
3. Anything that makes contact with the headphones is extremely loud. This is particularly annoying on windy days, as the wind is amplified when it hits the headphones. Additionally, if you are using the wired connection, anything that the wire brushes against will be heard loudly in your ear.
4. The noise cancelling is on by default no matter what. I don’t like noise cancelling personally, so I prefer to have it turned off, but when you turn the headphones on, noise cancelling will always come on by default, and you can’t change that. You can tap the button to change to “ambient aware” or “talk through”, but both those settings will slightly amplify surrounding noises into your ear, and the only way to turn it off completely is to use the app. Every. Single. Time. You turn. The headphones. On.
For the price, they’re a good deal, but if you can afford something a little pricier, I would say it’s definitely worth it, especially if you use headphones often.
