UPDATE - Anker reached out to discuss my concerns and their product line up. They also resolved the issue that went above and beyond. Their customer service has proven once again to be 10/10, just as solid as the reliability and quality of their power banks (which explains why I have so many of them).
Xxxxxxxxx
I have bought several Anker power banks in the past which were 26K, 20K & 10K. This time, I bought an Anker 10K PD and an INIU 10.5K PD. Below are the pro's and con's of the Anker 10K PD:
Pros:
- Works as advertised and feels solid just like previous products.
Cons:
- To my surprise, the INIU 10.5K PD is noticeably lighter and smaller in dimension. Hence noticeably more portable. The INIU 10.5K PD is almost 20% smaller and about 40 grams lighter.
- The INIU 10.5K PD came with a carrying case even though its cheaper than Anker. I think it was not a good decision by Anker to remove the carrying pouch when their competition provides it for less.
- The INIU 10.5K PD came with an extra USB-A port and a flash light.
- The INIU 10.5K PD looks and feels much better due to the texture of the exterior material.
- The INIU 10.5K PD has a little tab you can slide open to rest your phone while watching something and charging at the same time.
Conclusion - Anker has good legacy products but they are falling behind the competition in terms of design, dimensions and overall price value. I would encourage Anker to find a way to stay competitive.
