1.0 out of 5 starsCould not handle a Sony Bravia X90L 65". Support Email Non-Functional
Reviewed in Canada on July 11, 2024
If you're considering buying this mount for a Sony Bravia X90L 65" or larger television, avoid this mount. When the television was placed on the stand, the metal pillar immediately started bending and leaning forward. The television itself weights 50-55lbs, well within it's listed weight capacity. If you do insist getting this TV stand, mount the VESA bracket on the TV as high up on the body as can go, and do not extend it beyond it's lowest height setting. More ideally, just don't buy this one. It seems like it would only be suitable for TVs far lighter than the item description claims. I contacted their support email to ask if this forward bending was normal, but my email got returned as undeliverable. Doing research on my own, it seems that it was not. Another reviewer mentioned that their stand snapped at the welded joints and destroyed his television; mine did not, but I would not have been shocked if the stress of the forward tilt on mine would've caused the joints to fail spontaneously in the long term. If you are going to spend over a thousand dollars on a TV, either pay to get it mounted to the wall, find a way to use the stand included with the TV with some securing straps, or purchase a stand from a reputable brand like Sanus, or a distributor like Le Grand. Don't compromise and get something like this stand; you'll regret it and be paranoid of a spontaneous failure with absolutely no warranty.
I got mine mounted to my wall after a week of it leaning precariously forward; when the television was removed from the stand, the entire stand was bent. Went straight in the garbage.
If the the stand fails and your TV is destroyed because of it, you'll likely be on your own.
Do not purchase this stand unless your TV is very light. Even then, I would suggest using the stand included with your TV with securing straps instead, or wall mount it if you paid enough for it. If you're spending a decent amount of money on a TV, just pay a decent mounter that uses good wall mounts get it mounted or secure it with straps and the included stand; you wouldn't buy a Ferrari and put the cheapest wheels you can find on it, right?
Complete waste of money. Don't buy.
