I purchased this LuckyMobile sim card, and attempted to activated in on Sunday. The activation said it worked, but then there was as system error about it being down for maintenance, and that it couldn't link to my account. So I had a non-working SIM card, and no way to access the account.
I spent a few hours on support calls Monday, being bounced between tech support who said it wasn't a technical problem at all, but an account problem, so they closed the ticket and said a customer support rep would be calling me. They didn't call.
I got ahold of account support again today, and they were able to at least link the card with my account, but it still wouldn't work. They're now telling me that I need a replacement SIM (even though tech support said there was no problem and the activation succeeded--so I'm skeptical a new card will help.)
So I'll return the card and try a new one. What should have been a 10 minute signup will be taking well over a week, if not longer.
Total nightmare. Get your game together, LuckyMobile.
Maybe I'll just walk away from the $5 card cost and $15 top-up I put on it, consider them sunk costs, and go wth Telus to avoid any addiitonal grief and stress of more time with Lucky's tech support.
Further fighting with their tech/account support isn't worth the $20 I've lost on this so far.
Lesson learned.
