Top critical review
3.0 out of 5 starsFunctional, but obviously targeting a price point

It certainly works, and maybe I should have known better for the price compared to some other offerings. The arm mounts easily, seemed strong enough, and has good instructions. The limitation is that there is too much play in the arm mechanism and as a result there is substantial droop in the arm (I mounted a 55" TV). There is enough adjustment to eliminate the droop for a particular arm position, but if you move the arm to a new position, then the loads are different and the droop is different, both side to side and front to back. The droop is enough that it is impractical if you are thinking of being able to move the TV to different positions in use. So if you plan to mount it in one position and not move it, then the arm is functional, but then also there are simpler, more compact options that do that. I ended up removing the arm and mounting the plate directly to the wall for a sturdier and more compact package only because that was easier and quicker than returning the unit and getting a simpler one.
If I was to do it again I'd buy the simpler mount without the articulated arm for a little lower price. Maybe a smaller TV would have worked better.
