3.0 out of 5 starsTree Straps are NOT adjustable

Really not sure why this is rated so high. The Hammock was alright, but not great. The color was misrepresented - it said light brown, but instead it was actually olive green, which I actually preferred. The material is nice and soft and the carabiners are good, albeit not aluminium.
The bug net is built-in and is really easy to set up, just attach the ridgeline from one end of the hammock to the other (there's little loops on the inside of the ends). It comes with a bungee ridgeline, but I might try stringing some paracord instead to make it more rigid and hang things. The bug net sometimes falls on your face, but with a little moving around I got it to work, and honestly it was worth it considering how easy the net sets up.
***The actual hammock setup itself is another story.*** Only when I had to setup in the backcountry did I realize that the straps are NOT adjustable. They're also really short, one measuring 6'8" and the other 6'9" long. It took so long to find a setup that worked because of this - the first night the hammock had too much slack, and the other two nights I had to find another spot and rig up an extension with paracord to adjust. Really really REALLY useless straps - might be tree friendly but "this design is *NOT* very human."
There's another hammock on sale going for CAD$16 that includes proper 10' adjustable straps. Going to buy that and use it with this hammock/bug net combo. Still shook as to why any manufacturer would think these straps are at all adequate.
