Nice backpack but don't see the hype

It feels pretty high quality, but it's massive. I just don't see the need for this backpack. It won't work as a personal item on many airlines, so it's basically a carry-on. At that point why not just get a roller carry on and not lug this thing around on your back? If they made a version that was a little less overengineered (way too many zippers), and a bit less wide/tall, it would be a great bag.

I recently purchased this to take to Europe. My wife and I managed to fit 2 weeks worth of clothing between this and a standard sized carry-on suitcase. The bag is very versatile, it's capable of expanding to become quite large. It has several compartments for organization, and the straps easily tuck away to use as a conventional bag.

This is not a back pack for school. This is a travel bag with shoulder straps.

I'm on my first business trip through Germany and the UK with this pack. Works perfectly for a 4-5 day trip.

A few things... I'm on a business trip so I only packed one pair of shoes. This pack is quite slim so a second pair of shoes would definitely add bulk to the bag. I also use compressed packing cubes and that keeps the pack really slim as well.

This bag fits underneath my seat on the plane with no issues, and is really simple to carry. The straps are quite comfortable despite being more simplistic than all the fancier (and more expensive) bags.

Pockets are well laid out and easily accessible. I'm doing quite a bit of travel over the next few months so I'll come back and update this review again.

Edit: I'm 6 months into this bag.
It continues to be the go-to travel bag.
So far it's been on a combination of 2-5 day trips to: London, Exeter, Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Boston, Chicago, New York, and Montreal.

I've been travelling at a torrid pace and this bag has kept up. The only complaint I have is that the laptop sleeve opens up to the bottom so your laptop drops right to the bottom of the slot. I remedied this by putting two stitches at the bottom of sleeve to stop the laptop from sliding farther.

No rips, tears or loose threads yet.

October 2021 - this bag has been my weekend driver for anything that I've gone anywhere overnight. It's finally done after countless more trips on weekends and several more US trips and it's last trip was to Vancouver. The inside liners started to rip and have come apart so while I have outside zippers, the inside is now one big compartment. (not very useful) I've no regrets - this has been a great bag. Literally put hundreds of kms on this - sad to see it go.

This bag has 3 main uses for me. 1) lugging around my large laptop 2) if I'm sleeping out for 2-3 nights for work 3) flying.
Pros-
Great laptop bag for large 17" computers, even thick gaming ones
Unique layout even takes into account a place for a tablet, notepad, pens, mouse, and watterbottle.
Almost every pocket can lock
Converts from duffel to backpack, stacks with suitcases.
Airlines let you use this as a smaller under your seat item.

Cons
Unsure about durability of plastic clips on shoulder straps, very thin plastic that has to support allot of weight

Conclusion.
This bag has flown 2400km multiple times with me as well as a lot of everyday use with no signs of wear. Can expand to huge interiors, all in all a good buy

Roomy travel laptop bag

As a frequent business traveler, I prefer using a laptop backpack vs. a messenger laptop bag because I also need to use the bag to store my travel essentials (noise cancelling headphones, medicine, jacket, water bottle, travel documents, foreign currency, etc.). I have been hunting for a laptop backpack that has enough compartments to store an organize all of my travel stuff in addition to my work stuff (laptop, charger, cables, external hard drives, notebook, ipad, stationary, etc.). After reading countless reviews of other laptop bags on the market, I determined that this was the best fit for me. The price was right and the compartments were very useful for me (expandable for clothing storage, concealable water bottle holder, travel document compartment, pockets on the top part of the bag to assist with weight distribution, accessible storage zippers to sort stationary). The only gripe I have with the bag is the quality of the clips used for the shoulder straps. Everything else is pretty high quality as far as the rest of the bag is concerned. But since I don't see myself ever tucking the shoulder straps away, I won't be unclipping and clipping the straps on/off, so I'm not overly concerned. I packed a couple of caribiner clips in the bag just in case, but I don't think I'll need them.

Packs so much stuff, it's unbelievable. I bought it for my girlfriend to use, among other things, as carry-on bag for a two-week trip. The laptop and its accessories easily fit inside, as well as a ton of other stuff. It's comfortable to carry and looks very good too. I had purchased another brand for myself before ordering hers and now, after receiving it and her using it for our trip, I wish I would have bought the same model for myself. Great purchase!

I bought this bag for travelling around Japan and it worked great and now I use it for work trips and carry on luggage. It has three main compartments, one for misc things, one for electronics and another for your passport, pens, and small containers. It is great quality, I have put it through some hard time and its still looks brand new. I wish the chest strap that goes across was able to go lower as it would be much more comfortable when the bag is heavy.

Stitching came apart within the 1st month of use right below the top handle which could potentially let water in which is why I 1 starred Water Resistant category. Otherwise for the price this was the only bag that I could find that had a bunch of compartments that zipped up. I carry a lot of different pieces of equipment for work and like to stay organized, and all other bags had compartments but no zips, so all your stuff just falls out if your bags were to tip over.
