Tl:Dr, do your research before buying.
I was pretty excited to receive the telescope, but I would recommend getting a different model from a different manufacturer. It was clear when it arrived that this was either a refurbished or previously returned model, even though it was advertised as new. The hand controller was non-functional (the display was off-center and it would not align). As this telescope can't be moved around without a hand-controller, it's essentially deadweight. Since amazon support just tells you to call Celestron, that is what I did. They responded after a long time, sent me a replacement hand control after a long time, and this one is non-functional as well (it's actually in worse condition). Disappointed in the lack of support and poor quality parts, isn't Celestron suppose to be a well-known high quality manufacturer?
Although the support is slow, I don't blame the support staff. They are likely understaffed.
Also the website and this page is misleading. No, you can't see the poles of mars or the rings of saturn or the bands of jupiter as is. The telescope is not ideal for that. You can make it work with a more powerful lens and a barlow, but it's not what this is designed for. That is misleading advertising.
I suggest do your research before purchasing this product.
