3.0 out of 5 starsTwist wires together before soldering or use crimps
Reviewed in Canada on September 6, 2022
The copper wire of this adapter did not like contact with the wires that came with the radio connector when soldering. The copper wires were bright and shiny before soldering. The wires tinned easily (I used standard rosin flux) separately but if not twisted very tightly together the wires on the adapter would oxidize and all the solder would migrate to the radio wire only and result in a poor joint. When I carefully intertwined the wires and then tightly twisted them together the resultant solder joint looked much better and a good electrical joint resulted. I have never encountered this issue before in over 40 years experience in soldering. The wire insulation matched the factory and there are printed markings on the wire of the function. Easy to install except for the odd soldering issue.
