This book is full of debunked myths (ignored recent clinical research on leaky gut in patients without confirmed celiac or gluten sensitivity), contradictions (he decried the effect of Mercury poisoning in his colon but asks you to consume mercury laced fatty fish), self-promotion (you are asked to join his paid online programs and read his other books), product-placements (use pomegranate powder from a specific company rather than a real pomegranate), and unsubstantiated claims (utter lack of references).
His philosophy is noble: you are what you put into your body and your food choices affect the earth. I agree with his vision but his solutions might shorten your life yet make him money (there was no mention of the research that shows some of his recommendations decrease your lifespan by years).
If you are looking for unbiased evidence-based recommendations, they simply are not in this book. If you wish to validate your Google searches with a book from a doctor, any doctor, then you have found your book.
It is everyone's choice what they put in their bodies and you should have informed decision making.
This book does not deliver on the information part of that decision, but does present a plan much better than the Standard American Diet for you and the earth.
