I have purchased cheap brushes before and know the difference between them and more expensive brushes.

Don’t judge but I had makeup brushes that were 12 years old! So making the decision to buy the right ones was obviously important. After some research and already using Elf products I bought. There was some smell from the plastic packaging but once I washed them, it was good to go! The brushes are soft but not soft to totally miss the function of them. Happy with my purchase.

Just receive these brushes yesterday. Really haven't had a chance to actually use them yet. Overall, they look like they're good quality but upon opening the package. I couldn't help but nasty smell the from the brushes. Hoping that opening them and leaving them out to air out will get rid of bad smell.
