I should have known when I put it together to send it back but I figured "you get what you pay for". In this case I feel like I got way less. The thread's that connect the poll to its base are very small and just chip away. I have only had this lamp a few weeks and have had to tighten it a few times in each place it connects.

The picture is what I made so I can keep using it. Some real Red Green going on over here.
