Update. The Alexa home theatre is now solid. There must have been an update from Amazon.
The echo studios are now preforming well and I am very happy with them. The wireless home theatre feature is a game changer, more people should know about this excellent feature. This is such a versatile system. You get full Dolby Atmos surround sound for video sources ( if you have FireTV) plus great audio for all music sources. Awesome solution for a busy family room. I think they sound great.
I purchased a pair of Echo studios to setup an Alexa wireless home theatre system. I also purchased the FireTV Omni QLED television for this system. Alexa wireless Home Theatre was the primary reason for purchasing this system. Alexa Home Theatre does not work reliably, ever. It constantly drops out of service and you have to set it multiple times per day. It is a major pain and not worth the frustration.
As stand alone speakers they sound great, but if one of the major advertised features is a failure why buy them?
