I bought this because it got pretty good reviews. I used in in a computer across the hall from my router ... where I've never had problems with the Wifi signal in the past. At first it connected Ok, and allowed me to map a network drive, but then constantly failed to give access to the drive. About a week later, it reported that it was connected to the router, but that there was no internet connection, even though every other device in the house had solid internet connections. Eventually, it started dropping the internet connection every 20 minutes, which pretty much made the computer useless. I bought another USB wifi adapter and that one has worked perfectly for the past couple of weeks, so I think this one was just junk.
