I camp off the grid once a year and of course, we bring lots of devices. We have very limited options to charge anything when away so I bought several solar chargers. The important thing is that you do have to charge it first in the electric socket. If you don't do this correctly, it may not pick up the solar power fully. If you use this charger correctly, it will work through your trip and you will be very happy with it.

The other thing I highly appreciate is the design. It's a bit bigger than a cell phone so it fits in the same pouch I use to carry it around. You don't have to deal with a bulky box. I also love that it has two bulbs, so you can use it as a night light, when you don't have any other option.

And lastly, because it's so powerful, you can, once you return back to the civilization, charge it at work or a library and bring home to charge various devices. It will be very handy over the winter, even when it's not too sunny. So you can get a good use out of it throughout the year as well.
