This is my sixth Ring cam place around my house. I finally was able to set up a cam to monitor my side yard after having electrical run to that side of the house.
Installation was simple, taking me maybe about 30-45 minutes. Set up in the app was equally as simple.
The companion “plug in” mounting plate comes with a super long power cord, so the camera can be placed quite a large distance away from where it needs to be plugged in. In my case I mounted the cam directly below the plug in, so this wasn’t necessary.
All in all I’m very happy with all my Ring devices, including this new acquisition. Recommend.
