I wrote a pretty good review for this tv after purchasing it in Feb/24 but I’ve deleted it. Excellent color and sound BUT…
UPDATE - Apr 5:
I’ve had this tv for about 2 months now and I just wish it wasn’t to late to return it.
I will never buy any kind of a fire tv again! Tv is supposed to be for relaxing entertainment but this has been mostly frustrating and annoying.
I thought, because it’s a nice tv I could get used to the fact that this tv automatically turns off if I leave it on pause to leave the room for a few minutes or if there’s nothing playing. I’m so tired of being paranoid hoping that I haven’t I’ve left it on pause for more than 5 minutes and coming back to find the tv is turned off. I have to turn it back on again, open the app I was watching, find my show, then find continued watching. The only way around this is to leave my show playing and then rewind it to where I was watching. Tv is supposed to be relaxing entertainment and this is not.
I wasted so much time in Amazon forums, asking customer service, googling to try and find some way to disable this automatic shut off. There isn’t anything I haven’t tried and even Amazon could find no solution so I’m stuck.
ALSO: there’s only access to the Amazon App Store which is very limited in choices. There is no Google play store and no other App Store so you’d better like Amazon apps. And if you do find an app you would like to download, some apps say ‘NOT FOUND’ and you’re out of luck.
My LG is so much better with Google Play Store where you have access to everything and it does not shut off unless I shut it off.
I definitely do not recommend this tv.
