At this point in time with AM5 out now, this CPU still remains a very solid "bang for your buck" CPU if building a previous-gen system. I was upgrading on a budget and didn't have the need for bleeding edge performance - this CPU with a new mainboard and RAM hit the perfect sweet spot for low cost and high performance and was a very notable upgrade over my older 2700X CPU and will last me for easily another 5++ years to come! Get them while you can - I assume AM4 will continue winding down at this point.
