These rubbery little pads feel incredible to the touch, the hexagon texture finish feels really nice. They make using the back buttons a lot easier and less straining, especially if you have a case on your deck.
As an unexpected added bonus, they make holding the deck slightly more ergonomically comfortable, your fingers won't need to dig into the deck as much, and they can comfortably rest on the raised pads.
I would give 5 stars, but I'm only giving 4 because application was awful, the provided double sided tape was a huge struggle to peel, took me around 20 minutes in total for all 4 buttons. Also I cannot definitely say, but I feel like the adhesive could easily peel off over time or if you snag the buttons in some weird manner, I haven't tried to rip them off to see how much force would be needed for that to happen, but realistically they should be on there for good.
