Customer Review

I was searching for a lower cost alternative to a brand new iPhone but was afraid of a refurbished phone: off brand screens, unusual damage or problems with the board seem common with such devices.

But the Amazon renewed claimed the vendors are held to high standards and the vendor had great reviews so I took a chance.

I ended up with a used phone in excellent condition exactly as claimed in the ad. Some small marks around the camera bezel, a clearly dusty speaker grill and a couple tiny marks on the bottom edge are all the issues with the phone physically. Totally acceptable to me.

The device has all original components. No comments in the About menu indicating a third party or repaired screen for example. The battery life is only 83% so this also indicates its original. That’s maybe the only downside to this phone and again, acceptable.

Everything seems to work very well and it’s so much better than my old phone without breaking the bank ($1500 for a phone?!?)

I would highly recommend the following when buying a used phone: make sure it’s in the Amazon renewed program, check the particular vendor and their reviews (some have like 50% satisfaction! Brutal) and then when you get it immediately inspect and check for off brand components (google it). If you find them consider returning it.

If you do the above I think you will be happy.
