Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
Pros:
-The VIOFO VS1 Mini Dash Cam was packed inside a nicely designed box which gave it a premium feeling with an inexpensive price tag. All the accessories that you need to get your dashcam running are included inside the box. 32GB MicroSD card although is small but hey, if you are not a power user, 32GB is good to keep 2 to 3 days' worth of recordings.
-The installation was simple enough on my car. I simply patch the wire through the headliner then go down from the A-pillar and then underneath my seat to inside the center console box where the USB A port is. This way, I do not need to touch the fuse and the power will be cut off when my car is turned off. I just do not need the sentry mode so no need to wire the fuse for this purpose and simplified the whole installation down to less than 10 min.
-The overall build quality of this dashcam is great. The build is solid as always and slightly better than my existing A119 V2. I find it very neat due to its small size for a more discreet setup.
-I purchased an A119 V2 back in the day and ran a custom firmware inside which satisfied my needs in terms of pic and video quality. I think VS1 is on par with it and I find myself very pleased with the overall image quality from Viofo dashcam. The VS1 does the night videos noticeably better thanks to the Sony Stravis 2 sensor which is the biggest improvement that I can tell.
-The app, wifi and built-in GPS were great but for me, they are just icing on the cake since my needs are not complicated: just record the footage for me in case I need it.

Nitpicks:
-No CPL, I find it very odd the CPL was mentioned but not included in the package.
-The screen is nice but just a bit small. I wish Viofo could release a tiny version of it without the screen like Garmin mni 2 but with all the mighty features from VS1.
