This camera connects fast with the monitor when turned on, has low lag, good image quality and sound/microphone better than all other cameras I have tried.Small annoyance that gets me everytime: Volume buttons are reversed. Right should increase and left decrease volume.

Like the title says.. I’m obsessed with this camera. It is sooooo clear in both colour and night vision, and has so many great features. I love how big the monitor is, and how you can talk to your baby through the monitor. No wifi required=no hacking. Best purchase I’ve made for my baby for real! I recommend it to everyone.

We purchased this in January 2020 and it is an excellent monitor, while it lasts. Unfortunately, the unit stopped holding a charge in October 2020 and eventually died, even when plugged in. MCI Goods does not respond to any emails or inquiries re. warranties or returns, despite advertising in the product description there is a 12 month warranty. Eufy (the manufacturer) will also not honor the warranty from a third-party seller. I would like to purchase this monitor again but I can't recommend it due to the quality control issues and poor customer/warranty support from both MCI Goods and Eufy.

I never really liked this product, and it was solidified when the monitor stopped working
after about a year of use. When compared to other baby monitors, (such as the Motorola wifi free one) it falls short. Specifically, the screen doesn't stay on very long- the options are limited timewise. Also, the settings show an option to add another camera but when I spoke to someone at Eufy, they said they were "working on it", ie. they actually hadn't been able to create a monitor with 2 cameras paired at once. In my opinion there's better, more versatile wifi free cameras on the market.

We replaced an older monitor we received second hand. The difference is incredible. The night vision on this monitor is better than the daylight picture on the old one. The range is great too. We get clear reception anywhere in the house.

This is a great system. All power connections use micro-usb so you can move the equipment around the house and use the cables you already have to charge, and the quality of the picture and audio is great. The first unit we ordered had an issue with the speaker in the monitor unit, but customer service helped troubleshoot and replace the entire thing for us immediately. They are quick to respond and great to deal with!

I was very excited for this product as we welcomed our third child. I bought it July 2019. Worked well off the get go however the battery life and range is terrible. I live in a two story house and was struggling to get connection in the basement from the top floor. Antenna broke 7 months in and charger cord wouldn’t stay in to charged. I emailed eufy who gave me the run around, I emailed MCI goods multiple times with no response, and amazon with no response. Deeply disappointed and will now have to buy another camera for my child. Don’t buy this product from MCI Goods or expect and email back from amazon.

I read a few mixed reviews but we are very very happy with this one. I've tried 3-4 others (qubo, babysense etc) but this is the best one. In India I have seen the pricing of these vary a lot. I got mine for under 12K and now it's listed for 26K or so. If you find it under 15K go for it blindly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Monitor - Simple and Easy to Setup and Use
Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2019

Baby monitors...one of the items parents spend a lot of time looking into and easily getting frustrated about. Should I get sound only, a video monitor, wifi enabled, FHSS or smart features? Take some time and decide what features best fit your needs before you register or buy a product you might end up hating down the road.

We decided right off the bat that we wanted video capabilities so that filtered us down to FHSS systems or wifi based smart cameras. I will say right off the bat both have their pros and cons and I want to explain them a little before I give a review of the product because those reasons are why we went with this product.

If you do go with a wifi enabled smart camera (Nest, Arlo etc) I recommend getting a camera that is designed for babies in mind. We got the Arlo Baby and really liked it because it was really designed for a nursery with climate warnings (tempature, humidity, pollution), crying and motion alarms, two-way talk, night light, music, and easily paired to my Alexa devices. Then of course being connected to wifi so that I could see the nursery from anywhere on my smart phone via the app.

BUT, there are some downsides to wifi cameras like these. More spotty connectivity. If the internet goes down so does the camera. Hacking concerns (really did not concern me) if privacy is your issue and for me what became my biggest issue was network setup. I am a pretty tech savvy person and I had a lot of trouble getting this onto my network for reasons I still don't understand (Apple's HomeKit might be the culprit...though I don't use their HomeKit). But this also means if you travel...maybe for the holidays to the in-laws, in order for this camera to work you have to get it setup onto their wifi network. No Wi-Fi, no camera. Wifi pairing issues? No camera. Or maybe you're going to have your parents watch the baby for a day or two. In order for them to access the camera they need to download the app and either login into you account or you have to set them up as an authorized user. Parents don't have a smart phone? No camera. So I LOVE this camera for at home, even with the occasional signal issues and I think smart cameras are fantastic in the long term for the nursery especially as the baby gets older and is moving. But when you're dealing with a newborn and an infant having something that is easily setup in a matter of seconds that works is really beneficial.

Enter this review. I was very close to going with the Infant Optics DXR-8. If you've looked at any reviews you will see it consistently at the top of the list. It's been around for awhile and is the go-to monitor in the mid-price range. But in a few review websites I saw the Eufy win out and it got me curious. If feels like a direct competitor to the DXR-8, with the same price and from what I can tell nearly identical features and IMO some improvements.

Both are closed networks using FHSS which is more reliable than wifi. So check for both. BUT DXR-8 runs on a 2.4Ghz and I've read that this can cause interference issues if you're running other devices on your 2.4Ghz wifi. Just something to think about.

Both have cameras that can pan and tilt. Eufy wins on pan (330 vs 270 degrees) and DXR-8 wins on tilt (110 vs 120 degrees)

Both have attachable wide angle lenses and can zoom in. The DXR-8 wins on range at 700ft. BUT with 460ft in the Eufy I have no issues in a medium sized house (two story, 2400sqft).

Both have night vision which is critical. Both also have very similar features like temperature readings and alerts. I honestly don't really care about either and it's not a deal breaker regardless.

So where does the Eufy outshine the DXR-8? The monitor and screen. the DXR-8 is 3.5" and the resolution is only 240p. For as much praise as the DXR-8 gets that resolution surprised me. Some won't care but I like to watch my kid breathing since he's a stomach sleeper and I'm irrationally paranoid about SIDS. After watching several user reviews I was just overall disappointed with the screen quality of the DXR-8. The Eufy however boasts a much larger 5" screen with a 720p resolution. It's not as clear as a smart phone per say but it is very nice and that screen size really helps. User navigation and design is also much simpler and cleaner on the Eufy. Overall product design is just much cleaner as well.

Then there is battery life, the one consistent complaint I've read about the DXR-8. They boast 6 hrs of on-screen mode and 10 hrs in power saving mode. Most friends I know who use the DXR-8 get no more than 4 hours and are on their second or third battery. Honestly they look like the cheap lithium ions I put in my mini drone. I can't comment on the quality of the Eufy battery and the one downside is it's not user replaceable. But it claims to have a battery life of 7 hours display and 15 hours in power saving mode. and as of now I've read no complaints to indicate similar battery issues at the DXR-8.

If you want a smart app features, or the ability to record then Eufy is not the camera for you. This camera is about simplicity and at this point it's absolutely perfect. I just need something to watch my kid and let me know he's awake, asleep or not in distress. There is ZERO SETUP. Plug them in and instantly paired....which makes travel a breeze. I've experienced almost no lag or connection issues and compared to most dedicated video monitors this has one of the better screens I've seen.

If I have issues I will update this review, but for now I highly recommend this camera and give it the edge IMO over the DRX-8 if you are on the fence about them like I was.

EDIT 7/21: both camera still work very well. Eufy has remained my primary. I still enjoy the Arlo a lot and I believe a firmware update helped solve my connection issues. Eufy is still the easier one to connect since it isn’t smart.

The big downer on my Arlo smart camera…a lag of about 10-20 seconds. That lag wasn’t quite as significant when I first bought it. Food for thought.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST Baby Monitor on the market currently.
Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2020

I never realized that baby monitors were so out of date with current technology until i had my own child and started looking into these... All those motorola ones and the infant optics, its all crap and looks like the same model of technology we used in 2002. Just terrible. Then i ran across the Eufy and it was only a few months into the market when i found it about a year ago and it is the best monitor available, hands-down! Granted i never looked into the wifi enabled baby monitors but i didnt care to and chance some weirdo hacking my system or have to worry about finding a decent wifi connection at friends houses we traveled to, hotels, etc.

I'm a big advocate of doing my due-diligence and reading reviews prior to purchasing stuff, and i must say that was the key selling point for me & getting the Eufy SpaceView over others. 97% of the reviews about customer service were exceptional and i experienced that first hand myself! After almost 1 year of having the monitor the disply screen battery wasnt holding a charge and always had to be plugged in; i emailed Eufy Customer Service and they responded back within 2 hrs asking for some more details like shipping information, serial # and receipt. I sent that over and within 48hrs they had already shipped me a brand new device & camera at no additional cost without question!! Now THAT is customer service and i genuinely appreciate that!! Customer Service is actually the reason i went from a 4.7 to 5 star rating.

So i wanted to leave some truly honest breakdowns in this review I hope you will find useful:

1) The picture quality can obviously always be better, i mean we are used to looking at retina-display laptops and 4K 70+" TVs so relax people... Don't know about 720 resolution all the time as described, but night vision mode is great and this picture is much better than the other monitors so don't try to compare (because i already did with MANY friends and cousins and it didnt work out for them; they actually ended up buying the Eufy as either their primary or travel monitor because of it!)

2) I can personally vouch for the range on this bad boy; we go to my in-laws lake house all the time and I KNOW it travels more than 450ft in open air for sure!! Hell, it takes me 15 minutes to walk back up to the house from the dock just to get to his room so the range is not an issue IN OPEN AIR. However, i will get some dropouts in our bedroom and on our back porch at home but even bluetooth will drop on the other side of our plaster walls from this old house so its not surprising. It will drop for a 1/2 second and reconnect so its not an issue.

3) Range of motion in the camera is exactly as they describe, its great and doesnt make any loud noises or anything to wake your baby (not like they can hear anything past the obnoxious blaring white noise machine anyway) :)
I have not tried the additional wide angle lens yet as i have not had the need to; maybe when he is a toddler but cant comment on that so far.

4) Battery life is great; pretty sure it doesnt go to 15hrs like advertised all the time, but i also have my screen brightness on the highest level majority of the time and the visual picture is always up. I prob should try to turn the visual screen off and use just the audio, but then i'd have to listen to that damn white noise again so i choose the latter.

5) Tried the alerts when we first got it and he was weeks old, but didnt really care for it as i found myself constantly checking it anyway and just watching him (i know, weird new dad overwhelming joy) so never found the need for that either., Nor the built in 5 lullaby's you can play through the camera. I did however try the 2-way voice control and it works, but that is limited to like 30ft or something. Once again, don't use that feature enough to comment on it and i may when he becomes a little older, but not as of right now.

6) Zoom feature is nice and works fine; nothing extravagant about that.

That's pretty much all i have right now and sorry about my rant; too much coffee this AM!
Anyway, for the price point, quality of products and customer service that comes with it, 100% this product cannot be beat as of today!!

Enjoy and keep up the good work, Eufy Customer Support Team!!
