Some features require linking your Amazon account, and downloading the Alexa application or using a compatible Alexa device. Internet connection speeds and availability depend on your internet service provider; if your internet service provider does not provide you with the maximum supported speed, you will not experience that maximum speed. Maximum network speeds, if applicable, reflect combined supported speeds across wired and wireless clients. Maximum wireless signal rates are derived from IEEE 802.11 standard. Specifications assume wired Ethernet connection; your experienced speed may vary when connected to an eero device that is configured as a wireless extender. Coverage estimates are based on normal use conditions. Actual range and performance can vary, and maximum supported speeds may not be available to all customers, due to factors such as local regulations (including power limits), network configuration, interference, connected devices, device usage, building materials, and obstructions. Specifications are based on use of a Wi-Fi 6E or later generation client device that supports 160 MHz. For more information about eero performance, visit support.eero.com.

I had these devices for around 6 months now and I wish I could go back and get anything else! Originally I was using my router and only used eeros in bridge mode. There were connection drops here and there but I was thinking it should be my router or internet provider. Then I switched my internet provider and configured eeros as router and things got even worse! Now my network goes offline, randomly, and then comes back after a few minutes! Both me and my wife are working from home, so having such issues is really annoying! There is absolutely NO logs, not a single piece of details on why network is offline, nothing, NADA. I have been working in IT for almost 20 years now and can say it’s the ABSOLUTELY worst router I have ever used, and I have used (literally) hundred different routers! Speed and everything is great, if it works, but as a PRO product, I expect to have at least some sort of web control panel, ssh client or at the very least a dumbed down log on its useless app.

These are quite expensive, but they were easy to set up and have worked beyond my expectations so far. I would recommend looking for them when they go on sale, but otherwise I can confidently recommend them. Have not made use of the “smart hub” features so can’t comment on those, but the WiFi coverage and connectivity has so far been outstanding. I don’t throw out 5 star ratings very often, this product has earned it, though only because I was able to get them at a sale price. At full retail price they are too expensive, even on sale they were a stretch.

READ THE UPDATE, AND DON'T BUY IT

It's a great product with some specifics. Unfortunately, I had some problems when I added the second router to the mesh, so I needed to reboot it. So keep it in mind: if it's behaving weirdly in the beginning (per se blocking you from the internet, can't add the second router, and so on), you need to restart it. Besides that, I'm impressed by its performance; I own a 3500 sqft house, and it covers it all with just 2 routers (including the driveway); I kept my 3rd router in the box for now.

Update.
Returning. Got a terrible experience. After a few days, I noticed that satellites started randomly losing connection or significantly dropping the connection's quality and speed. So my daily routine became running around my 3-store house and rebooting these little f-word s-words. It's worse than Google WiFi which was NOT GOOD. This thing (even discounted at $599) is a total f-word of rubbish. F-word this kind of s-word hardware. Disappointed. At least I can return it and forget about it. So much wasted time... F-word.

I like the range of WIFI you get with this product. It has a built in VPN and very good security. Set up is very easy.
WIFI does drop once in a while, not sure why. Usually connects again within a couple minutes.

My only issue with them so far was during the initial setup when I wanted to disable the the ddns right away. There was no option to do it at least before the trial end so I had to call eero support who were super friendly and helped resolve the matter in the spot.

Everything works great for our needs, the setup was super easy, the app is well thought of. With a rather low ISP bandwidth of 120 mbps, we can have 3-4 TVs (4k, 1080p) and a bunch of smartphones and tablets, (plus other connected stuff, wearables, smart home…) streaming at the same time with no buffering. Plus massive coverage and local transfer rates to/from the NAS improvements when compared with the previous Linksys Velop AC6600 mesh system.

Purchased it with high hopes that the latest and greatest 6E mesh will get my 250+ devices working better but this product falls short of any expectations.
It all started wrong with me trying to connect to what every router has - a web interface. Well, this one, does NOT even have one. You can enjoy your 42" monitor as much as you want but you can't even install the eero this way. You must purchase a phone and tap on the little screen like it's 1984.
OK, Android app had issues and kept spinning but the iOS one got the main eero installed. As always, went to look for the backup/restore settings to make sure I can work and get back to a stable config if things went wrong. Wow, there is NO backup!!! There is NO restore!
Added the other 2 points and reused one of my old SSID (2.4 one) and the corresponding password. NO, you cannot split 2.4G from 5-1, 5-2, etc. One single SSID and that's all. As dumb as it possibly can get.
Stadia gaming was the first test the kids wanted to perform. Strange, it was buffering and lagging worse than my old ASUS AiMesh setup which had mix of old AC1900 Dual Band routers and one AC5300 Tri-Band router. Went on the Activity tab to see which device is using how much bandwidth, how many connections it has and all the basics one would expect from a router. As unbelievable as it might sound, all you get is a STATIC screen, showing NO current activities by device, by protocol, by bandwidth, by anything - just Downloaded/Uploaded Data bars. Now I'm on day 3 of testing this junk and the bars are populated with basic info about the % of data used by a Profile or Devices during the past 2 days. Nothing current, nothing useful, nothing that'd help you see why Stadia stutters.
Right there I was ready to dump this and send it back but thought I'd give priority to the Stadia, play with the QoS settings, I should be able to make this work. Well, no one can make anything work. There's no QoS you can tweak. There isn't even an option to give one single device Priority so you can do OK on your Zoom presentation even if kid's games suffer for an hour.
The eero is in the package, going back to the folks who took all the shortcuts to make this anti-human product that does nothing useful for the average home user, forget about anything customizable.
If I didn't scare you enough, here's another set of bad news. You pay $1000 to WiFi and it starts asking you to pay for monthly subscriptions, even for super basic things like setting up DDNS. For god's sake, even the Bell Fibe modem gives you that! You want to be a responsible parent, you pay a subscription for Parental Controls. You want to block bad apps - you pay for that extra, too. You want to feel Secure - you guessed right - there's a subscription for that, too! And what do you get if you pay it? Another dumb set of charts that tells you eero blocked 4 threats. What did it block? Another black box that doesn't allow you to drill down and won't show you anything.
I am ready to go back to Asus, TP-Link, Netgear, Linksys, Ubiquiti, Synoglogy. I've setup many consumer-grade ones and NONE were as primitive as eero, none had fewer features, none performed worse, or had all those limitations.

Performance is the only key measure but setup was a breeze and worth calling out.

I figured I'd mjve from an older high end TP Link router to a Eero to take advantage of wifi 6, future mesh possibilities, etc.

Pros:
-Easy to set up.
-App is clean and simple.

Cons:
-Wifi is unstable and flaky.
-Certain devices (like an Amazon smart plug) won't stay connected.
-Doesn't play well with Amazon echo multi speaker (even though all have a strong connection).
-No auto reboot schedule feature (this is a must).
-No ability to adjust bands to avoid interference (wouldn't be necessary with auto reboot, but yeah).
-Can only adjust with app (no web interface).

I got this with hopes that it would work well with the Amazon dots as range extenders, but so far my experience has been anything but stellar. This product has lots of potential but is super buggy for most users.
