Love my Contigo 40oz tumbler
Just received my tumbler this afternoon and started using it right away.. I have a hard time drinking water throughout the day, and now it's right at my fingertips.. haven't tried it with ice as I don't have any. But tried the leak-proof.. I turned it upside down over my laptop.. No leaks.. Yay..Ordered 2 more..

✅WHAT I LIKE:
▪️Keeps water cool all day. Depending on the ice you use, the longer your beverage will stay cold. My ice is the little cubes from my potable ice maker. They tend to be softer and last about 8 hours in this cup. After 24 hours, my beverage is cool, but not cold. I wouldn’t even call it refreshing at this point. The fact is, it keeps drinks cold for a long period of time.
▪️Well known, quality brand. I’ve been a frequent buyer of Contigo for well over a decade now.
▪️I love the colour. This is what attracted me to this tumbler right away.
❌WHAT I DON’T LIKE:
▪️You can only use cold beverages in the tumbler.
▪️No matter how you position the cup lid, the drinking hole always lines up with the handle making it awkward to drink out of (see video for context). The only way to put it into the proper drinking position is to force it. I believe by doing that, it created a hairline crack in my lid.😢
▪️I’ve knocked it over a few times. I can’t say I have experienced this with any of my other Contigo tumblers, but this one is indeed more top heavy. My daughter knocked it over on the table twice. I knocked it over on the counter and then my glass stovetop. Luckily it didn’t break the glass but it did hit with some force. It was enough to worry me, so please be careful if you have glass table tops or stoves.
▪️This tumbler is huge. It doesn’t feel comfortable when drinking out of it and to be honest, it feels awkward because it is so huge. I feel a bit ridiculous drinking out of it -lol! Maybe it’s because my family giggles when I use it. Regardless of them making fun of me, you’ll need to make sure you have the cupboard space to store this tumbler. My kitchen cupboard shelves are too low to accommodate these types of cups, and rather than rearranging my shelves to accommodate one cup - that’s silly, I now have an open shelf I use where it is easy to grab every day. Honestly, it spends most of it’s time by my side.
🦋OVERALL:
I’ve used this tumbler every single day for almost three weeks. The cup is fantastic to keep yourself hydrated throughout the day. Rather than snacking and thinking about food, I reach for this tumbler without realizing it…until I have to get up to use the washroom!🤭 The tumbler is especially fantastic while doing manual labour outdoors in the blazing heat. Instead of the water going to my bladder, I think I sweat it all out because I drank two huge containers throughout the day and only went to the bathroom once. I know, TMI, but I think it’s important to note. If you’re comfortable with the size and have the real estate to store it, it is a great cup. However, I have to deduct a star for what I would consider a design flaw with the lid not lining up properly. Still, this is a great tumbler—if it wasn’t I wouldn’t be using it every day like I’ve been doing!😉

It wasn’t until I got this tumbler in my hands when I noticed the label that says it is for cold beverages only. I’ll admit, I was disappointed about that. However, I love using this tumbler on hot days while outside gardening, at the beach, camping, or long car trips. You can also take this Contigo to an all inclusive resort and the bartender will fill it up with your favourite adult beverage.
