The build: I will summeries with this. A nice package all around. The head light is housed in a full metal shell. insuring long life span and water and dust resistance. The back light is made of a mid to high grade plastic polymer that feels robust. But not as heavy as the front lighting module. The front light offers 3 modes: low beam, high beam, and a mix of both. The low beam light is well balanced with a wider spread that can be focused 20 feet in front. The high beam is a narrow but slightly more concentrated beam. That focuses in the 40 to 60 feet depending on how you place your light, within the bracket. The whole package includes a detachable key fob and remote that functions as an alarm system. The remote has a good set of useful functions.
The taillight has 6 light modes:
1) Slow Flashing (auto)
2) Breathing (auto)
3) Blinking
4) Steady Light
5) Emergency Light (like hazard lights, both signal lights flash)
6) Off
The first two taillight modes are automatic, so will come on in the dark or if you go through a dark tunnel, and go off when it's light. If you stop for more than 30 seconds, it will go off to save power, then turn on again when it feels the vibration of moving forward. If you don't want the automatic brightness, choose the Blinking or Steady Light modes.
In any of the modes, if you slow down while riding, the light will go solid red for 2 seconds to alert other drivers you are braking, then go back to flashing.
Turn Signals:
The turn signal lights will go on for 2 minutes or you can cancel at any time by pressing the same signal again or the lock or taillight buttons.
Bell/Horn:
There are 3 types of sounds you can choose from for the horn, then just hit the middle bell button to make the sound. I wouldn't use these sounds for approaching pedestrians or other cyclists, maybe cars if I need to get their attention. I have a much softer sounding bell on my bike to alert pedestrians I am about to pass them.
Anti-theft Alarm Function:
Press the "Lock/Unlock" button to arm the taillight. There will be a sound, and then another sound 5 seconds later to let you know it is armed. If the alarm senses vibration or motion, it will sound a warning for 2 seconds. If there is vibration or motion sensed again in the next 2-12 seconds, it will sound for 30 seconds to scare off the thief. It will continue to sound if there is continued vibration/motion.
Press "Lock/Unlock" button to disarm at any time. You can also press the top right taillight button to disarm and turn on the light. The remote comes off the bike easily to go in your pocket after arming.
Final thoughts: One of the coolest lights I own for my bike. With a great feature set, fantastic brightness and a detachable alarm. This is a must have for the city or trail commuter. 5 on 5 stars
The lights arrived with a lot of stuff in the box. There is the headlight with its tiny user manual and mounting hardware. There is also the taillight with a remote, all the mounting hardware, and the user manual.
The headlight is the simplest to install. It attaches to a bracket that screws onto the handlebars. If the handlebars are smaller in diameter there is a plastic insert that allows them to be universal.
I installed these next to the mirrors on my handlebars. It was a tight fit but it worked well.
The headlights have several modes you cycle through by tapping the button on the side. You can control the brightness or make them flash. There is also a very narrow line of LEDs at the bottom which you can use as daytime running lights that turn on and off with a long press of the same button.
The taillights attach to a plastic bracket. This looks like it can be removed after connecting it but it can't so consider it a permanent connection. You then use the bolts and locking nuts to attach this to the post under your bike seat. There is a rubber insert that goes on first and then you tighten it over that.
The little remote attaches much the same way to your handlebars. It also uses a bolt and locking nut. The remote can be removed by turning it to unlock it. This is so you can turn on the bike alarm built into the taillights and take the remote with you.
The taillight has a lot of features. You can use the left and right buttons on the remote to make the taillight amber turn signals light up. You can press the light button on the remote to scroll through various combinations of lights on the taillights including flashing, amber and solid.
There is also an alarm button in the middle of the remote. If you press this it makes a very loud annoying sound which alerts people that you are coming up behind them. You can scroll through 3 different very loud sounds. I would have liked to see the sound of an old bike bell which is not quite as annoying to people but still alerts them that you are coming up from behind.
There is a lock button on the remote. This turns the taillight alarm so that it goes off if your bike is moved. You can unarm this with the remote. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the alarm.
When you are riding your bike the taillights glow red when you stop moving.
I am very impressed with the number of features in this set. It really lights things up.
I have attached a video where I go through the lighting modes of both lights and also show the sounds the alarm makes. I have also included some pictures of the lights installed on my bike.
I highly recommend this light set for anyone who not only wants to add safety to their bike but also an alarm that can be used for those short stops when you do not want to have to lock things up.

First off, the installation was a bit tricky, as the manual had some specific instructions for inserting the alarm taillight into the mounting clamp. Once I heard the "KA" sound, I knew I got it right. Charging the taillight and headlight before using them was essential, or else they won't work. It took about 6 hours to fully charge the taillight and 3 hours for the headlight using the included USB cable and 3A charger adapter.
The headlight is seriously bright! With 900 lumens, it's perfect for unlit paths or rural roads. The six modes are helpful, especially the daytime running light for added safety during the day. However, I wish the smart auto on/off function worked for all modes. I had to remember to switch manually between Fast Blinking and Steady Light during the day to conserve power.
The taillight is impressive too, with 160 lumens and 31 LED lights. It definitely grabs attention, and I feel safer knowing motorists can see me day or night. The six taillight modes are a plus, but I mostly stick to the Slow Flashing mode with the auto on/off feature for power saving.
Now, the remote control is a game-changer. I love how it combines five functions, including a bike horn, anti-theft alarm, turn signals, and brake light. The bike turn signals are straightforward to use, and it's great to see how drivers and pedestrians respond to them. The built-in brake light automatically highlights when I brake, which is a clever safety feature.
The vibration alarm is a neat addition, and it gives me peace of mind when parking my bike outside. I can adjust the sensitivity to my liking, and it's loud enough to deter potential thieves.
On the downside, I did find the remote's setup a bit confusing at first. Pairing it with the taillight required following the manual step by step. However, once it's done, everything works like a charm.
The set's battery life is impressive. The taillight lasts up to 70 hours on fast flash mode, while the headlight gives me about 3 hours on flash mode. The remote battery has been going strong for a few months now, and it's only used about 30 times per day.
The waterproof feature is reliable, and I've ridden through some rain with no issues. It's a relief to know my lights won't get damaged.
All in all, the Wsdcam Bike Light Set is a practical investment. It offers impressive brightness, excellent visibility, and useful safety features. The multi-function remote is a winner, even though it required some effort to set up. For the price, it's definitely a worthy addition to any night rider's gear collection.
