The smell is clean and fresh, and it lathers up nicely. I wouldn't call it overly moisturizing, so if you're looking for that I'd go with the Dove deep moisture body wash instead.

Psoriasis is no fun, and for years I didn't realize my (other) soap was making things worse, and more irritated/itchy. I switched soaps a number of times but they all seemed to do the same thing, until my doctor recommended Dove body wash for sensitive skin – and I've used nothing else since. It quickly "puts out the fire" when itching starts, and doesn't make things worse. Your own mileage may vary of course, and obviously you should ask your doctor, but for me this has been great. There isn't a strong scent at all, which I'm happy about (I hate perfumed soaps). It just smells like soap, but even then it's extremely mild, and less soapy smelling than anything else I've used. My partner recently started using it when I left a bottle behind in her shower, and now she swears by it, and uses it all the time now. She used to make fun of me for including it in my monthly Amazon subscription EVERY MONTH whether I needed it or not (because I was building quite an impressive stockpile of it in my bathroom, like some kind of doomsday prepper), but now she's on board!
