Easy to set up and use right away. Been using for weeks and no need to replace battery. Can place it “anywhere” because it does not need a cord. No cord to keep track of and risk misplacing too. Feeder is very quiet. I was concerned there would be a loud ticking noise, but it is very quiet. Easy to wash dish. Dish is removable. Just make sure battery is in and firmly-first use battery wasn’t snug enough but repositioned battery and it worked.

I bought this to leave food out for a cat that eats too fast and would not allow a big bowl left out over a night otherwise it would be gone and there would be vomit everywhere!

The size is perfect and I have used it for wet and dry food.

You have to remember it works based on the number of hours you want the lid to open, as there is no clock . It is easy to pull the tray out and clean and easy to set the timer as it shows a 24 hour dial. Just put it to the number of hours you wish it to open in and it pops right up.

I was concerned my cat might be afraid of it and not eat but that was not the case. When I came home it was always empty.

There have been some reviews stating a continuous sound when the battery is in, I can say mine is very quite with no sound what so ever.

It isn't the feeder for you if you will be gone more than 1 night as there is only the 24 hour dial and 2 spots for food.

If you just need it for a night or a morning you just can't get out of bed, this is the feeder or you.

A bit pissed off. Can't even return it. Didn't work from the get go. I did read some reviews of people saying it didn't open etc. So I decided to test it before letting my cat starve. Put in the cell, no sound of anything running, fine, set the timer different hours on each. (1 and 3 respectively). Checked it after work. Hadn't even moved. Brand new batteries too

As I couldn't return it (says ineligible) I popped open the thing to check out the battery section to try to repair it and the gears were popped out and all over (possibly from my opening the back)

Tried to fix it myself but soon discovered the very flimsy gear arrangement. Couldn't get it to run for long enough without it getting stuck. After spending 2 hours on trying to get those gears to stay and not get stuck I threw it out.

Came quickly and is very easy to set up and use. It does need 1 AA Battery which is not included. The mechanism is simple and foolproof and the cats loves it, waiting beside it at opening time! Only downside is that the timer can't be set more accurately than about +/- 15 mins, but not a big deal. We're going on vacation soon and bought this to reduce visits from the pet sitter. Very pleased with it!

When it works, the cat does not wakes us up during the night for food and you can be away for a day. Easy to use, good portions, very easy to clean. I bought it 4 weeks and 2 days ago, it did not work 3 times (the clock did not advance). The return window just closed, i would return it, it is not reliable, i would not recommend it

Does not work, tried 4 different batteries thinking they were dead, wait 5 hours with the switch turned to 1, nothing happened/opened. I bought this for my kitten when I go on vacation for the babysitter will only be in mornings and evening and am thoroughly disappointed. There’s a no return policy/ refund so please go spend the $10 more on an automatic machine that WORKS

My cat is always hungry, so I purchased this to use for his overnight feeding, and it's worked really well, and saved me from being woken up. Is it perfect? No. As you turn the dial to show in how many hours you want it to open, the accuracy isn't perfect. I try to turn to 6 hours, but am never 100% certain if it's set for 5.5, 6, 6.5, etc. It's lightweight, so my cat can smack it around when trying to get to the food, HOWEVER he has not yet opened it up. Cleaning the actual trays is easy (handwash or dishwasher), however the outside is a bit harder, though still easy enough.
I've been on the same battery since I purchased this months ago, though I do take it out between uses. There has been the odd time that it hasn't opened as scheduled (I think twice) but that's either due to me not inserting the battery properly, or my cat being a genius and turning the dial.
If you're looking for an inexpensive programmable feeder that does it's job but without any bells and whistles, I highly recommend this one.

This is a pretty good deal for feeding the cat in the morning. Even if she is on the bed, she can hear it open and will take off for breakfast.
The timer is not accurate to the minute or anything but it opens pretty much on time. It doesn't have a clock. You manually turn the dial to the number of hours until you expect it to open. If it is 8 pm and you want it to open at 6 am, set the timer for 10 hours. I believe it is set up for 15 minute intervals.
It is easy to use. The batteries have lasted a long time.
This came if very handy while we were on vacation. Family came in once a day, usually in the evening, to feed the cat. They could give her wet food for dinner and set up the feeder with dry food for the morning. It worked out great for them to be able to only come by once a day instead of more often.
I do recommend this for a smaller animal. It wouldn't hold enough food for a bigger dog or other animal. Work great for our 15lb cat.
