Nest Wifi routers work together to blanket your whole home in fast, reliable Wi-Fi and eliminate buffering in every room, on every device – with coverage up to 4400 square feet.[1] This is Wi-Fi the way it should be.[1] Home size, materials, and layout can affect how Wi-Fi signal travels. Larger homes or homes with thicker walls or long, narrow layouts may need extra Nest Wifi devices for full coverage.[2] This is based on only using connected devices at a maximum data rate of 1Mbps. Requires sufficient broadband internet connection and connected devices must be located within Wi-Fi coverage area described at g.co/nestwifi/coverage.[3] Strength and speed of signal will depend on your internet provider.[4] Minimum OS requirements are available at g.co/nestwifi/req.

This is a router that is shipped from outside of Canada. It does say this in the ad, but it is in regards to the shipping terms and conditions, not network connectivity. I was on a chat with Google for over two hours trying to figure out the issue. Turns out that since it was from a different region, it won’t connect in Canada. It should not be listed on Amazon.ca. Pretty frustrating.

Easy to install and setup with google home app. I have two routers installed as mesh network and for the most part great signal strength but I have a few areas where signal strength is weak due to concrete walls snd fireplace masonsary - a third router or access point will fix this. I really like having both 24G snd 5G in one network and the fact the network will handle over 100 devices. If I had a complaint is it the fact the google routers are dual band wifi 5 as opposed to Triband and wifi 6 -it doesn’t have the speed. This could be a major weakness if you live in an urban area with access to gigabit speeds. For rural areas where speeds are 100 mbs or less the google router is more than adequate. The google routers are also a bit pricy for what you get.

I like that this works with my existing nest points. It doesn't support WiFi 6 or the newer Pro line of routers from google. But I have lots of the older version so I wanted to increase my coverage. These are discontinued so buy them while you can.

Really boosts the wifi a lot. We have a two story house (around 1300 sqft) and the internet router is in the basement.

With the old wifi extender we were getting high speeds through the wired connection downstairs but never anything great through wifi (wifi seemed to be a quarter of what the wired speed was).

After plugging in the first google nest it was immediately clear the signal was boosted a lot. (Speed tests in main level were much higher, at 2 to 4 times better than before) and I added a second nest on the main floor to boost the signal upstairs. That signal strength went from pretty low (with a different wifi extender) to very similar speeds the main floor was seeing.

So far worth the money as a relatively cost effective solution to poor wifi from the internet provider router.

Premièrement la qualité des matériaux est supérieure (fils et appareil). Un kit de 2 dans mon cas est un routeur et un access point(qui sert aussi de google home avec commandes vocale). C'était facile à configurer avec l'app Home. Par contre impossible de créer un SSID séparé pour le 2.4ghz. C'est seulement 1 réseau multibande. J'ai tenté de connecter un appareil qui prend le 2.4ghz seulement et ça ne fonctionnait pas(led govee). Pour y arriver j'ai du réactiver mon ancien wifi et créer un réseau du même nom/mot de passe mais en 2.4ghz seulement. Après avoir connecté l'appareil fautif, j'ai désactiver l'ancien wifi et reconnecté le nouveau et tout fonctionne.
Je suggère fortement de désactiver l'ancien wifi et le plus facile est de nommer votre nouveau réseau/mot de passe exactement comme l'ancien.

I purchased this 2 router pack in Canada since 2 routers each will have 4x4 radios which should be better then 1 router and 1 extender. I received both and was quick to setup on my iphone and it started working and hasn't given me any issues. Make sure you try different spots when setting up the 2nd one.

1. Ridiculously overpriced for the performance. My Netgear R7000P works much better.
2. "intelligent" switching between 2.4GHz and 5GHz means you *cannot* choose it yourself.
3. Meshing between levels probably works in countries with wooden floors, but with concrete in India, it doesn't work well - horizontal range is less 50 ft between two levels.
4. Doesn't show devices connected unless you agree to the "cloud" option where it will log every single device and probably its activity.
5. No configuration options for power (of the radio), access-control using MAC, etc.
Please don't buy this if you're in India.

Had them installed immediately after receiving the package. So far, it works better than I thought, place the two routers in two opposite corners of the house, one on 1st floor and one on 2nd and the signal is still great. Downloading speed now 100+ Mbps in the previous "dead spots" of the house. Yeah... it's not WIFI-6E but that is not a big deal for me at least.

Excelente producto, vale la pena el costo que tiene, es muy fácil de instalar con el celular, solo se tiene que tener una cuenta de google. El rango que cubre el wifi es muy amplio, para una casa mediana con 1 o 2 bastaría para tener wifi en todos lados, teniendo en cuenta donde esta el modem. En mi caso tenía un modem era de Telmex con 200mb contratados, al hacer un speedtest no subía de los 40mb, después de la instalación del nest ya alcanza las velocidades contratadas.
