The NF-A12x25 is a highly optimised next-generation 120mm fan that integrates Noctua’s latest innovations in aerodynamic engineering in order to achieve an unprecedented level of quiet cooling performance. It takes state-of-the-art technologies such as the AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame or Flow Acceleration Channelsand combines them with a record tight tip clearance of only 0.5mm, which is made possible by using the novel Sterrox liquid-crystal polymer (LCP) compound as well as a metal-reinforced motor hub and axis for ultimate precision. I purchased these fans for my brother. He started with two, swapping out the ones he had for a couple of years. Then he bought two more.Although on the pricey side, let me tell you that the quality is truly premium. They are heavier, solid, and pictures online do not do them justice if you must know. The colors might make you feel you are getting something retro made in the 80s, however- these are far from that acid plastic used back then. The corners are brown silicone, the fan looks like carbon fibre (I have not read the details on materials), it looks like it, and its just so solid overall. Compared to the rinky dink fans he had previously (Arctic), these are like a Rolls Royce.The packaging is also premium. Attention to detail in all manners. They specialize in fans for a reason.
