We got this protection plan for our son's smart watch/phone calls enabled, since we didn't know what to expect of the product ( too much mixed reviews).

The product failed, and so we put in a claim. After confirming everything, they emailed a prepaid label which we had to print out. We returned the product and after one day of the product being packaged and dropped off, we got an email stating that a cheque in the full purchase price had been mailed to us. Quick and simple hassle-free. Well worth it when you're not sure about a products reliability, or just to be covered. I'd recommend this protection plan.

Purchased this extended warranty for an MP3 player. I had to return the MP3 because it was faulty. I called Asurion to request an e-gift card and already knew what I had read when the policy was purchased and as follows and SHOULD BE what I would get back: "Easy Claims Process: File a claim 7/365 via phone. Most claims approved within minutes. We will send you an Amazon e-gift card for the purchase price of your covered product. This is NOT true, Asurion advised "we only send a cheque in the mail, we don't give gift cards" BUT they did state there is a retailer (which I cannot name here) that qualifies for said gift cards. ONLY them. I will never purchase another warranty from Asurion and I have advised Amazon of this denial on Asurion's part. I have spoken to them multiple times (via phone calls) and have stressed the fact that it's what we Amazon customers/purchasers are shown when the page for the policy comes up after one is asked if they'd like extended coverage and sent to a new page. Had I known they would ONLY issue cheques that are sent in the mail, I would NOT have purchased an extended warranty with Asurion. This sort of issue should not occur and what I advised them was the following "People DO read the pertinent information which is front and center when purchasing the warranty. If it's posted that a refund is provided by an e-gift card, then that should be it. There is no asterisk(*) one is shown which would mean that there is some fine print at the bottom of the page on Amazon so my proof is that anyone reading this should (before checkout and after choosing Asurion's extended warranty), read what I did and question why it is left to remain if it isn't true?

I just purchased the protection plan, I have no idea if I will need it or not but that is why we purchase insurance. I will not know if it will work until I use it but a give it a 5 star with the anticipation that they will honor their protection.

The policy starts from the day you place your order for the product. The manufacturer provides 18 months warranty, that means I get 6 months of warranty in this policy not two years??

I had a 3-year plan on PS4 headphones and the connection port had just been through a lot and stopped making a connection which meant I couldn't charge them anymore. Considering the pandemic, I needed a replacement pair ASAP. I quickly ordered new ones, then realized I bought the first pair in 2019. I was still covered! So I found the original order receipt and the receipt for the Asurion coverage for it, printed that out. I went to the Asurion website, typed in all necessary information to file damage claim. They emailed me a FREE UPS delivery label to print out to mail my bad headphones back (no accesories, just the headphones). So, when the replacement headphones (identical PS4 headphones), it was EASY! I pulled out all the new headphones and accessories (made sure they indeed worked), and used that packaging to put my damaged headphones in, then I used the same Amazon box (removed all labels from it), taped on the Asurion UPS label, placed copies of receipts in box, sealed it up and dropped it off a local UPS drop-off point 2 blocks away. 3 days later, the full amount was placed into an Amazon "gift card code" which is great! I highly recommend their coverage for any expensive electronic gear.
