So far, its been perfect and he loves it, he has gotten it wet multiple times and no rust or anything similar. It also open and closes with no difficulty and I am considering on using it myself for any hair I need to remove.Overall, very happy with the purchase.

So the image shows it comes with derby premium blades, which was partly why I purchased this, so I could test those blades without also buying them separately. Instead it came with regular, green, derby extras.

As for the razette itself... it's okay. Doesn't feel overly well made or sturdy, but it serves the job I have for it (I don't use it for everything, just for certain spots and as clean up after using a double edged blade in a safety razor).

I don't know that I would use it as a primary shaving device.

Also, the top that holds the blade portion in place keeps popping up on its own. Again, not a big issue for me, and I just push it back down before starting, but if you want to use it as a primary blade I would be careful. I did cut my pinky while handling it over that, but I also wasn't paying very close attention to what I was doing, so I put that more in the "my fault" category than theirs. Bled pretty bad, but I didn't even feel the cut, so at least you know those Derby Extras are pretty dang sharp :P

The clamp that hold the blade is not strong enough to hold the blade in place, which makes the blades move around and sometimes hides fully the blade inside the shell. I would not recommend this razor for this reason. It is also very cheaply made.

I didnt cut my throat but this will make a man out of any boy. I tend to have a fast regrowth and work in an office so try to be cleanly shaven every day. I dont really like to spend too much time looking at myself in the mirror and dont like cartridge razors as they tend to give me burns and ingrowns.
If you are a skilled ninja than you will have no problem avoiding knicks to your chiseled and straight face. If you have big hands like me you might struggle to hold the straight edge with your fingers. I am not used to holding such small things with these monsters. Yes, I eat a bne with one hand.

Unfortunately I have little beauty so cant afford to scratch my rounded, curved and jaggered jaw line. So after several slashings, hot red flows and screams from the misses. I have put this bad boy away and opted for a "safety" combed straight edge razor.
One day i might need this razor, i heard peaky blinders is shooting the next season... so all is not lost.

This looks like the old school straight blade! thats what I thought when I ordered it.
I want to say to start it is exactly what I expected it to be. It came with tons of razors and it does indeed work well to shave.

But this is a NOT for BEGINNERS straight blade tool. The handle is very awkward until you really get used to it. It constantly wants to move while you are holding it. It can make certain angles challenging when edging a mustache for example.

That being said, If you are familiar with this, or fancy yourself a dexterous lad, this may work just fine.
Its simple, and it gives a very close shave when used properly.

Replacing the blade can get a little annoying at times. The lever gets a little stuck sometimes. And you have to make sure the blade is in just the right spot when you close it all up. But it is something that is consistent and can be learned.

Other than that, I will say the design is solid and not likely to break or be unusable anytime soon.
It does not lock in place so be careful how you store it as to not let the blade expose before you can grab it out of a bag for example. Would recommend taking out blade entirely if storing in a bag. Blades are cheap enough anyway.
