My dog plays catch constantly and it's nice to have something to throw the ball further than my arm. I am loving it so far and I use the hard lacrosse balls in it and it works great. My dogs chew the tennis balls so I don't sue them and bought this in hopes the lacrosse balls would fit and they do. Highly recommend for those people who want to throw further for their active dogs.

As described and works as intended. The "Chuckit!" logo on the ball completely peeled off/disintegrated after 1h of playtime (inside the house). I don't mind it, but I didn't want my dog to eat it. I like that the launcher is compatible it my other 2-inch ball even if it's not the same brand.

One of our ChuckIt launchers broke, so I ordered this, not realizing that it's different than the "Classic" model we had before. This one is awful.

The easiest way to tell them apart is that the Classic has a molded grip handle and says "26m" the packaging. It's not obvious which model you're getting if you aren't careful.

It's too short to work properly, and the molding on the shaft doesn't flex properly, making it more like swinging around a lacrosse stick with zero flex. I didn't check, but maybe it's thicker or a slightly different formulation of plastic? If I wanted minimal flex, I would've bought a lacrosse stick. Ugh.

The lack of flex strains the elbow when the launcher doesn't release and fling the ball like a catapult, so it literally hurts to use... At the same release angle, this crappy "Sport" model flings it into the ground instead of a longer, high arc when released. Ridiculous.

Maybe it works OK if you're less than 5 feet tall? My mom is about 5 feet or so and finds the launcher uncomfortable / poorly designed too. Not many kids in our extended family (yet!), so can't confirm if that makes a difference.

I didn't even bother returning it, as I was annoyed that Amazon didn't even have the correct model in stock without stupid marketplace seller gouging. Bought a "Classic" models at that other big blue box retailer for the correct MSRP around twelve bucks a pop. I get the feeling I should stock up in case they stop making the classic model... Hope you pick the right one for your needs!

The ball that comes with it didn't last one day. But it is stil a great product. We replaced the ball with a heavy Kong ball of the same side, that ball is much heavier and can be thrown a lot further. Our Lab loves it.
