I am very happy with the dearlomum baby playpen. It only took about 20 minutes to assemble. It comes with a QR code you can scan to watch a video with step-by-step instructions which was super helpful. It’s sturdy and has suction cups to keep it from sliding on hard floors. All of the hard metal pieces were wrapped in a protective foam for safety against head bonks, which is very nice! There are four handles which are great if your little one is learning to pull themselves up to stand. It has a pocket on the outside of one side that is great for holding a bottle and a binky, baby wipes, etc. The two little zipper “doors” on either side are handy and I especially like how they can only be unzipped from the outside. The size is fantastic, it’s huge. My son has tons of room to crawl around and play with toys. I can still see everything he’s doing through the mesh walls. Very affordable and high quality product, I would absolutely recommend to any parents looking for something safe and practical for their little one(s).

So I am going to start this review with you wondering why I gave it five stars, then saying ok, got it. If you want this as a portable extra large play pen, then it’s not the tool for you. It’s like the most annoying tent you’ve ever set up (before they invented poles that connect via strings). It took me well over an hour to put it together, so in my opinion it’s not portable. Once it’s up, it stays. It’s really big (I got the XL), which is great as a playpen (in theory), except that once babies start moving they do not want to be confined in any space. They will hate it. If your looking for it as a way to keep a baby away from danger things then you are better off baby proofing your space than buying this cause they will scream the entire time they are in it, unless your are will them- then that’s fine, apparently. Another down side of this is that it’s a wee bit flimsy, bars are not super strong. My 3 yr old (27 lbs) stood on one and it bent (side note, I messaged the seller and they said they are sender a new one- will update if I receive it). The mesh seems decent, but also not toddler impenetrable.

So here’s the reason I gave it 5 stars. It changed me life. I was (safely) co-sleeping with me son since he was born. I couldn’t get him to sleep any other way (also had a 2 yr old that wasn’t sleeping through the night). At 7 olds baby started rolling while he slept. I, of course, was petrified that he would roll off the side of my bed so I bought bed rails. At 9 months he was standing, so bedrails were no longer an option. I basically didn’t sleep for 10 days thinking that he was going to topple over the edge. At my breaking point, I bought this along with a double mattress (6”) and it literally saved my life. I can actually sleep now knowing that my now 11 month old won’t roll off the side. He’s still in my room with me till 12 months but i plan On making this his bed for the next foreseeable future. Thank goodness for sleep!

The seam was not sewn properly so there's a hole by one of the zippered entrance. I already assembled everything so was hard to disassemble again. I should get a discount for this product due to the tear. Can't use the product fully. I had to cover this entrance. The suction is not good it will not stick to the floor so it keeps sliding

got this for my 9-month-old once he started non-stop army crawling and would be down the hallway in the blink of an eye visiting my neighbors (I'm joking - but he was wild). It was semi-confusing to put together for like 5 minutes but once I figured it out it wasn't bad at all. I haven't needed the suction cups on the bottom, but the thing is SPACIOUS. I can lay down fully and still have room. It helps keep all the toys together and I know he's safe and secure if I need to step away to use the washroom or to try and get some things done around the house. 100% worth every dollar, my only minor complaint is I find the mat doesn't fit exactly, I wish it had a slightly snugger fit but still VERY happy with the purchase.

Grandson who was 11 mo was coming for a visit. Set up the pen in the living room. Was ideal when we couldn’t be directly engaged (restroom break, making dinner, etc). It was large enough for him to have many toys to occupy him, but it didn’t disrupt our normal walking patterns. Setup was akin to a tent (poles/brackets) so not hard or time consuming. It was sturdy enough for the toddler to push on with 0 structural impact.

It is good for an infant. I like that the zipper isn’t double sided, so she can’t unzip it from the inside. It is easy to clean and wipe down if need be. It is sturdy, but don’t climb in as an adult and prop your legs up on the sides. It is not stable enough for that, and will lean in ways it’s not supposed to, looking like it might break. Parts fit ideally together, and the suction cups are strong enough to keep it from sliding around when we get in and out of it playing with her. It is very safe for our crawling baby, but we did buy a mat for it separately. The mat doesn’t fit exactly even though the measurements were the same, but I cannot speak for the mat that is made to order with it as I purchased one separate to save money. You definitely want to buy a mat to go with it, or it’s just a piece of thin fabric separating from the floor.
