Purchased in Jul 2022. Adhesive pad did NOT stick well onto the textured plastic dashboard, and was thrown in a garbage after 5 min.
Suction cup works very well, even without a pad, even on a textured surface: in the 1.5 years of use, it fell of 2 or 3 times when the car was parked for the whole day in a hot weather. Otherwise, it's very grippy and feels super secure.
Hinges are sturdy. I do not recall adjusting or retightening anything, not even once in 1.5 years.
I have an average "noname" Android phone, 155 mm long x 75 mm wide (6.5 inch diagonal), not super heavy (compared to today's "monsters"). The only minor inconvenience I have with mounting it into the holder is that I have to squeeze the clamps rather hard to get that last "ratcheting click" to ensure the clamps "hug" the phone tight.
Before you buy it make sure the buttons on the sides of your phone are positioned rather high, because if the "power button" on my phone was a few mm lower it would end up under the clamp...
Overall, it's a very good product. I've been using it mostly on the city roads with occasional light off-roading. Zero regrets.

Used the ventilation attachment - so far so good. Looks sturdy and stable, no issues. I will give a 4 because if you give 2 options to install then add one more case so we can have 2 complete sets. Otherwise, if you instal the vent attachment, the other attachment is just useless...

Review after 6 months- Quality product in a sea of poor Amazon mounts.

PROS
- This thing GRIPS, is sturdy, flexible, mounts on uneven surfaces, dirty surfaces, you name it
- Love the action of the mount latch, you can tell the suction cup will hold as soon as you pull it down
- I mounted a heavy Iphone 13 pro max in a large case, and only partially mounted with 1/5th of the suction cup hanging off the surface and it has never dropped once in 6 months and I drive in an EXTREMELY bumpy area with some of the worst roads in the country, in a large truck with poor suspension. There are so many poor suction cup mounts out there for phones, this is hands down the best I've seen at this price point
- The mounting system from your phone is flawless. Releases and mounting are effortless and require only one hand, and I've never felt for a second my phone could come out. I've had many mounts before with poor systems that lock your phone in, and they always end up failing after a while. This thing still feels like new
- Flexible adjustments. I had to mount this in a very hard spot on my dash behind my steering wheel. Every other mount couldn't get it and flex outward enough to clear the wheel - but this one did

I got this phone holder pretty quickly, and I was happy with the damage-free package that had everything as advertised.
The suction was very powerful, so I had to struggle to unmount from the dashboard.
However, the arms that hold the phone were so small that they could not hold my Samsung S24 Ultra. The arms could be widened by a push button, but after keeping the phone on the holder, it needed to close manually, which was very challenging.
The Andobil company advertises that the product is big phone friendly. I am appalled at this absolutely wrong and misleading claim.
I bought this thing with the hope that I would not have to worry for the falling down phone while driving.
I had no alternative but to return it.
Extremely unpardonable shoddy design and misleading claims.
Although everything else is good, what's the use of the product if it fails to hold the phone?
If you have a thick phone that becomes thicker with the cover, do not buy this; for it doesn't work.

I am not sure of the lifespan of items like these especially in our brutal Florida heat, but i guess i am surprised it lasted as long as it did, very sturdy construction and nice angling choices, and the extra glue that came with it, really held for 2 years and one month till it finally fell off. tho the suction cup is nice and thick it appears that the heat eventually made it too loose and separated. i did try to fix it but no luck,
this item is a great value for the cost, and i am happy with it's performance and would recommend this product
I just to document what happened, maybe the next one will last 3 years,lol

I am very happy with this phone holder.

Plenty of adjustments to set your phone just right. You can swivel the holder clockwise or counterclockwise and then secure it with the locking nut. The arm tilts up and down, and also telescopes out if you have a deeper dash.

I use this for a Galaxy S21+ and even though it is a larger phone, this holder is very sturdy! Even with the arm extended slightly, there is no looseness at the base or excessive bouncing while driving.

Set your phone on the base and squeeze the padded sides in to secure it. There is a release button on the side.

The 2 feet on the bottom that your phone rests on are positioned so that a charging cable can still be plugged in while using the mount. At least with my phone, anyway.

The suction cup is super sticky! Make sure your windshield is clean before you mount it. I've removed it and repositioned it on my windshield and was surprised at how grippy it is. It has held up well in the heat, too. I've had other mounts that fell off the windshield when they got too hot.

I tried going cheaper in the past and had to buy replacements anyway. This is well worth the money.

My glass-top desk at work is pretty small so I try to make the most of my space, and this was a welcome addition! Securely holds my phone, quick to open and close, and the arm gives a little extra distance to find a comfortable position for viewing and using a device. Seems to have a sticky coating on the silicone (I think) suction cup which does make removing it a bit trickier but even with months of use on my desk, it never feels like the suction cup is losing its grip. Obviously, hanging upside down from a car windshield may be a bit harder but it seems as though it would be secure.

So far I've had 0 problems with this product. I've adhered it to the windshield, the dashboard (using the mount it comes with), and the air vent. It's on a Ford F-150, and the vent rotates 360 degrees and is shaped in a circle. I used the vent first just to see because typically I don't like the phone mounted there anyways with other mounts I've had since they don't always hold the phone well, especially when hitting bumps. But the vent clip held up well in all situations while driving. I did this for 3 days since instructions recommended waiting 3 days after adhering the pad to the dash to putting the mount onto it. (I assume the weight of the phone may take it off if not given the proper amount of time to settle into wherever you place it).
-Anyhow, the vent clip worked perfectly. Even with my 360 air vent. It's long enough and strong enough when you tighten it as necessary.
-The windshield, no problem at all.
-The dash mount was my real goal. After waiting the 3 days as recommended in the product instructions, I fixed the mount and the phone to it. Bumpy roads, potholes, all non-issue. The suction is good. (I'd say incredible, but that's a strong word for such an item). I have it mounted extended to 95% of it's maximum distance putting it almost parallel to the distance my steering wheel reaches. Works great.

Very happy with the product and would certainly recommend it to anyone else who was interested in having a phone mount in their car. Long drives, short drives, it makes using the phone while driving much safer and very convenient when using the GPS which I use often in my line of work.

Very pleased. Will be getting another for my wife's car now that I know it's a reliable product.
