Zoo Med Digital Thermometer

Digital Thermometer for terrariums with digital readout in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Has a remote sensor probe for accurate readings.

  • Using suction cups, mount the probe inside the enclosure (wet or dry). Mount the digital display in a dry location outside the enclosure.
  • Press power (pwr) button to turn on. Press and hold power button for 5 seconds to turn off.
  • Slide fahrenheit/celsius switch to desired setting.
  • Uses one LR44, 1.5 v battery (included).

My snake (ball python) loves to burrow under this!! Much more convenient then what I was using before, though it’s a bit pricey for the amount you get imo. I was also told it helped with humidity, but I didn’t notice any difference, which was a disappointment. I’ll probably stick with this anyways unless I hear of a better option, it’s the best I’ve tried so far.

Personally, I love this blend of cypress mulch. It’s great for holding humidity. The size is perfect, chunks are big enough I don’t worry about them being accidentally ingested. I bought an 8 quart bag to put around the water dish in my tegus bioactive enclosure (got tired of the coco fibres getting into the water). I would recommend paring this substrate with coco fibres and sphagnum moss for the ultimate bioactive blend.
