I'm a little bit disappointed in this habitat. The build quality is great, the acrylic is extremely clear, the location of the door is perfect for what we bought it for, a jumping spider, and I love the tray in the bottom for if you wanted to use substrate, but there's one very unfortunate issue.The door has cutouts along the top and bottom for it to hinge open, and the top cuts are deeper than they needed to be, leaving quite a substantial gap. Within five minutes of introducing the spider to her home, she found the hole and left. Thankfully we just held her old enclosure next to her on the top of this one and she jumped right in!I modified it with some tape, since the extra cutout area isn't actually used by the door, at least when everything is square and fitting well. The door still opens and closes perfectly with it in place. The bottom cutouts for the door will probably need to be covered too, they're necessary for the door to open but there's still a bit of a gap so tape on the outside will solve that.We'll still be keeping the enclosure because otherwise it's a perfect habitat for our spider, but it's certainly unfortunate that it needs modification immediately. She's pretty small, smaller than the top of an AA battery with her legs fully outstretched, so make a judgement based on your animal and keep an eye on them when they first go in the enclosure!

The only thing I'd caution anyone about is that it is quite small, but the dimensions are there for anyone to see.

I purchased this enclosure for my sub adult female jumping spider as I had read that it would be suitable for spiders of that size (not a sling) but I was definitely mistaken.
The enclosure itself is very easy to assemble and has the potential to be great, but unfortunately it has some pretty serious flaws that could result in the loss of your little spider - the main one being the opening where the door latches. I woke up two mornings in a row to my spider missing and couldn’t figure out where she was escaping from, until I saw the size of the opening at the door latch and realized that was the cause. Some may use silicone or tape to secure it more tightly, but I have no tried that yet as I takes from the look of the enclosure. Instead I’ve had to use something larger that didn’t require any additional rigging.

I’ve noticed opinions on this enclosure are very split, but I really like it so far. We’ve had our sub adult Phidippus Audax jumper in here for a little over a month and a half and have had no issues with escaping. I’ll have to wait a bit longer to see about warping, but so far so good and our spider seems to really like the space. Just make sure the type of spider you add isn’t too small/young and everything should be fine!

Regardless, I’ll be updating this review down the road to update on how it holds up!
