Quality of the violin overall appears to be okay. I removed the sound bar to regraduate the top plate and discovered it was not hide glued. Damaged top plate a bit, which was disappointing. After finishing with spirit varnish and fitting with Evah Pirazi Golds, it is a wonderful violin, with power and projection. I'm actually quite impressed. This is now my every day player.

The maple ribs, back and neck are a little better than I expected. Two piece back has some flame and the sides and neck as well. The spruce top looks nice. I am thinning the plates out a little and left the bass bar alone. ( I got a 400 dollar violin from a place in the Northwest USA and the back was painted to look like flaming!! The purfling was painted on!! The whole thing was plain maple and I guess the top is spruce-it's hard to see through the brown paint.) This Yinfente violin has real purfling. I am looking forward to finishing it with some nice oil varnish on top of a sealer coat of de-waxed shellac!!
